DAN TAYLOR

Dan Taylor’s lacrosse journey commenced at the age of four, a pivotal moment sparked by a visit to the local rec center. Originally poised for baseball, a chance encounter with a lacrosse video altered the trajectory for Dan and his brother, leading to a lifelong commitment to the sport.

Hailing from Calgary, Dan’s lacrosse narrative unfolds with notable milestones, from Pee Wee Nationals to navigating the dynamics of Junior Championships. Opting to remain in Calgary during his junior years, he embraced the opportunity to learn from Geoff and Bob Snider, contributing to the expansion of lacrosse in Alberta.

Transitioning to university life at Lehigh, under the mentorship of Coach Kevin Cassese, marked a transformative phase for Dan. Rigorous focus on skill refinement and physical conditioning sculpted him into a multifaceted player.

Selected in the 2015 NLL draft by the Saskatchewan Rush, Dan gained invaluable professional experience before a strategic trade brought him to the Calgary Roughnecks in 2019. Clinching the 2019 NLL Championship with the Roughnecks marked a crowning achievement in his career.

Beyond the field, Dan’s commitment extends to coaching and directing Classroom Lacrosse at ELEV8, embodying a dedication to fostering the sport’s growth. His influence reaches schools, introducing lacrosse to the next generation and reflecting a profound commitment to the sport’s legacy.
