A proud Calgary product and ELEV8 Lacrosse alumnus, Lukas Olsson brings elite-level experience from every stage of the game back to the city where it all started.
Lukas developed through ELEV8 Lacrosse, playing minor box with the Calgary Hornets and minor field lacrosse with Calgary Field Lacrosse. He went on to compete in the ELEV8 Elite Fall Travel program before advancing to the Calgary Mountaineers Junior A club. From there, he earned a full scholarship to the University of Richmond, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level with the Spiders.
Over his four-year collegiate career, he was a key contributor to three Atlantic 10 Conference titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances, capping his senior season as team captain with Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honours, 22 goals, and four assists in 17 games, including two goals in a landmark NCAA Tournament victory over No. 8 North Carolina.
A decorated box lacrosse player as well, Lukas spent his senior season with the Nanaimo Timbermen in the Western Lacrosse Association, where he was named the 2024 Rookie of the Year. His performance earned him a spot in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, where his hometown Calgary Roughnecks selected him in the fourth round, 56th overall, bringing him full circle back to Calgary.
Now a coach with ELEV8 Lacrosse, Lukas brings NCAA Division I and NLL draft pedigree to both box and field programs, and is part of the CLASSROOM Lacrosse team introducing the sport to students across Calgary and surrounding areas.
